Chief Operating Officer (AI)

Location: Hybrid position based out of the Kansas City, Missouri office; scheduled office attendance is required.

What you will do

• Lead the firm’s global operating platform across business management, back office, facilities, administrative operations, and business analysis.
• Align investments, products, distribution, and operations to support growth, scalability, and client outcomes.
• Drive enterprise AI, data, process automation, analytics, personalization, and real-time performance management initiatives.
• Modernize operating and technology infrastructure, including scalable cloud-based and AI-driven platforms.
• Establish operating metrics, KPIs, governance, controls, and accountability for execution against firm objectives.
• Lead operational due diligence, integration, and execution for M&A, partnerships, and new business launches while building a high-performing leadership team.

Requirements

• 15+ years of progressive operational leadership experience in asset management, investment management, wealth management, or financial services.
• Experience leading operations, business management, or enterprise-wide initiatives in complex organizations.
• Strong understanding of asset management operations, governance, risk management, and regulatory environments.
• Experience leading large-scale change, business transformation, growth initiatives, or AI-enabled transformation.
• Exceptional leadership, influencing, communication, stakeholder management, business judgment, and decision-making skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Experience with multi-asset global investment platforms and multiple regulatory regimes.
• Enterprise-wide AI, data, or digital transformation experience.
• MBA or advanced degree.
• Experience with technology leadership, data architecture, AI-driven reporting, M&A, strategic investments, or business integrations.
• Board-level communication and executive presence.
