Water/Wastewater Engineer

Location: Manchester, New Hampshire, United States; supporting projects out of the New Hampshire offices

Salary: Starting at $80,000 per year; final compensation depends on experience, qualifications, and licensing status

What you will do

• Support project managers with engineering design for water and wastewater facilities.
• Perform technical engineering work, system reviews, alternative analyses, and feasibility studies.
• Develop hydraulic models, engineering calculations, reports, and visual aids.
• Prepare design drawings, plans, sections, details, profiles, and construction specifications.
• Participate in field investigations and coordinate with officials, engineers, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
• Complete permitting applications across planning, design, and construction phases.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an ABET-accredited institution in Civil or Environmental Engineering, preferably with a water/wastewater emphasis.
• 4–7 years of experience with water and wastewater or related civil engineering projects, including design, analysis, and studies.
• Experience with computer models for hydraulic system analysis.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to work on water supply, treatment, storage, distribution, wastewater collection, pumping, treatment, and disposal projects.

Nice to have

• Engineer-in-Training certification.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
