AI Product Engineer

Location: Hybrid in the San Francisco office, with attendance required four days per week

Salary: $180K–$285K annually, plus equity

What you will do

• Own product features end to end, from ideation and design through implementation, testing, and deployment.
• Build and deploy scalable agentic workflows and software for healthcare applications.
• Produce maintainable, reliable, readable, and scalable technical work.
• Collaborate with clinicians, end users, and non-technical partners to translate product goals into technical solutions.
• Participate in engineering ideation, code reviews, and solution design.
• Identify improvements to the technology stack and development processes.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of full-time software engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Proficiency in at least one backend language, with Python and Rust used primarily.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, learning, and adaptation skills.
• Experience or familiarity with infrastructure tooling such as Kubernetes, Helm, Kustomize, Terraform, and AWS or GCP.
• Interest in healthcare technology, AI coding tools, LLM tooling, and agentic workflows.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python frameworks such as Django or Celery.
• Experience with or interest in Rust.
• Familiarity with TypeScript and React.
• Willingness to interface with end users and support use-case discovery.
