Early Career Software Engineer (AI)

Location: San Francisco, on-site

What you will do

• Build and ship AI-powered features for assisted requirement drafting, consistency checks, impact analysis, and intelligent suggestions.
• Contribute to agentic workflows that help engineers explore designs, simulate changes, and validate requirements.
• Develop complete features across backend services, APIs, and user interfaces.
• Build supporting infrastructure, including data pipelines, evaluation harnesses, prompt and model management, and observability.
• Work directly with customers building rockets, satellites, and aircraft, observing usage and iterating on the product.
• Learn and apply hardware requirements engineering concepts.

Requirements

• 0–2 years of engineering experience; this is not a new graduate role.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, and software development.
• Demonstrated ability to build real software through internships, research, open-source work, or personal projects.
• Some exposure to modern LLM tooling and genuine interest in building AI systems.
• Clear technical communication and a pragmatic, customer-minded approach.
• Comfort working with ambiguity and changing priorities.

Nice to have

• Experience with TypeScript, Node.js, Python, Postgres, managed cloud services, LLM APIs, or orchestration libraries.
