Senior Applications Engineer

Location: Fremont, California, United States; on-site. Expected travel of 10–20% to customer sites and Fremont facilities.

Salary: $115,000–$130,000 per year.

What you will do

• Prepare and optimize metal additive manufacturing files in Flow software, considering printing, post-processing, lead times, and economics.
• Design, modify, and analyze complex geometries using CAD software.
• Work with customers and internal process, hardware, and software engineering teams to develop projects and new system capabilities.
• Train customers on hirify.global software, technology applications, and design guidelines to support production success.
• Operate metal additive manufacturing machines safely, including compliance with PPE and equipment safety protocols.
• Troubleshoot software and hardware issues using monitoring software, machine schematics, procedures, and internal support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
• 3–4 years of experience in customer-facing engineering roles.
• Experience with metal additive manufacturing design, manufacturing, or production.
• Expertise with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Siemens NX, AutoCAD, or CATIA.
• Hands-on experience with CNC machining, semiconductor, additive manufacturing, heavy laboratory, or related equipment.
• Experience with critical or regulated industries such as aerospace, defense, or semiconductors; ability to lift parts and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
