AI Engineer (Search/Agents)

Location: Must be based in or able to work on-site in San Francisco or Palo Alto, CA

Salary: $150,000 – $300,000 + Equity

What you will do

• Own the training pipeline for models powering search stacks and AI agents.
• Develop rankers, classifiers, and query models to surface information.
• Build models that enable agents to plan, reason, and execute tasks over web data.
• Create paths from product usage to high-quality training data.
• Fine-tune, evaluate, and ship models safely to production environments.

Requirements

• Deep intuition on modern models and training techniques.
• Experience with transformer fine-tuning and data curation.
• Strong understanding of the craft of label quality.
• Ability to think rigorously about how ranking, retrieval, and agent behavior interact.
• Must be able to work fully in-person in San Francisco or Palo Alto.
