Precision Inspector

Location: Onsite in El Segundo, California, United States. Applicants must be U.S. persons as defined by ITAR.

What you will do

• Define, establish, and enforce manufacturing quality processes for production and verification.
• Own receiving, in-process, final, and first article inspection end to end.
• Build and operate metrology and calibration capabilities, including CMM inspection, gage control, and measurement system analysis.
• Manage nonconformance and corrective action processes, including root-cause analysis and effectiveness verification.
• Conduct internal quality-system audits and drive findings to closure.
• Establish supplier and special-process controls, counterfeit-parts prevention, FOD control, quality metrics, and quality practices as the shop scales.

Requirements

• Background in manufacturing quality, ideally in aerospace, defense, precision, or regulated manufacturing.
• Hands-on ownership of an inspection function and calibration and metrology program.
• Strong GD&T fluency and ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and technical data packages.
• Experience with nonconformance, corrective action, and structured root-cause analysis.
• Comfort establishing a new quality function and building processes from the ground up.
• Must be a U.S. person under ITAR, including a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected person.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO 9001 and experience supporting certification efforts.
• Internal or lead auditor experience or certification.
• ASQ credentials such as CQE, CMQ/OE, or CQA, or Six Sigma and Lean training.
