CNC Machinist - 1st Shift (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite at the hirify.global CDI facility in Avon, Ohio, United States

What you will do

• Set up, load, and operate CNC machines for production and non-production jobs.
• Perform daily equipment maintenance, manual deburring, and end-of-shift work-area cleaning.
• Follow process routing documents and inspect parts, recording results accurately.
• Complete production reports and associated paperwork.
• Communicate with supervisors, management, quality personnel, and shop staff to resolve machining or quality issues.
• Follow quality management procedures and safeguard company, customer, and supplier property.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience with vertical or horizontal CNC milling.
• Availability for first shift: five days per week, eight-hour shifts.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience reading blueprints and using calipers, height gauges, and micrometers.
• Proficiency in drilling, turning, tapping, and other machining operations, with familiarity with vertical and horizontal machines.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.

Nice to have

• Bridgeport machine experience.
• Strong inspection competence, basic mathematics, and mechanical and technical capacity.
