Medium Voltage Electrician, Facilities

hirify.global is localizing the battery supply chain through recovery, reuse, recycling, energy storage, and production of battery materials in the United States.

What you will do

• Operate medium-voltage substation apparatus and distribution equipment up to 34.5kV.
• Maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems, equipment, components, lighting, and control panels.
• Perform power distribution switching and low-voltage controls troubleshooting and repair.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, blueprints, manuals, and diagrams.
• Install electrical equipment, modify circuits, and prepare parts lists, work plans, and as-built drawings.
• Coordinate with facilities and other internal teams while completing work scopes safely and on time.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of journeyman-level electrician experience or higher in industrial or commercial settings.
• Completion of Substation Maintenance I training and ability to complete Substation Maintenance II training.
• Experience with low-voltage systems up to 480 VAC and medium-voltage systems up to 34.5kV.
• Knowledge of electrical meters, test equipment, conductor and conduit sizing, and the NEC Code Book.
• Ability to interpret electrical prints and schematics and evaluate electrical hazards during pre-work planning.
• Ability to work at heights up to 60 feet, lift and carry up to 100 pounds, and work occasional weekends, nights, or on-call shifts.

• Experience installing and troubleshooting PLCs, motor controls, drives, and electronic components.
