Engineering Manager (Geospatial/Satellite Analytics)

What you will do

• Lead the technical roadmap and architectural standards for a core product area, balancing scalability, reliability, maintainability, and delivery pace.
• Directly manage and grow a 10+ person cross-functional engineering team spanning data engineering, ML, geospatial, remote sensing, software, platform, backend, and frontend.
• Drive engineering excellence through code quality, testing, documentation, architectural reviews, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure engineering decisions are grounded in customer needs and deliver measurable product value.
• Own the engineering team's responsibilities under hirify.global's SOC2 and ISO 27001 compliance programs.
• Partner with Product Managers, the embedded Designer, AI and Infrastructure teams, and senior leadership on product direction and delivery.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing and growing multidisciplinary engineering teams, ideally in a startup or scale-up.
• Experience leading teams that build customer-facing SaaS products and applications.
• Required understanding of geospatial data, remote sensing, Earth observation workflows, or satellite-derived data products at scale.
• Strong software engineering background with sufficient technical depth for architectural and technical decisions.
• Hands-on experience running agile teams with Scrum or Scrumban.
• Strong stakeholder communication and people development skills, including performance conversations and career growth support.
