FP&A Manager (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Own the company financial model, connecting contracts, pipeline, program schedules, production, headcount, procurement commitments, capital expenditures, and operating expenses.
• Translate contracts and pipeline into revenue, billing, and cash schedules with consistent definitions for bookings, funded backlog, revenue, billings, and cash.
• Build lightweight FP&A processes, reporting cadences, variance analysis, and KPI tracking.
• Design budget guardrails and route new headcount and material commitments for appropriate review.
• Prepare fundraising and investor-relations materials, including financial diligence responses.
• Partner with the CEO and COO on resource allocation, strategic financial decisions, external accounting, and government contract invoicing.

Requirements

• 7+ years of finance experience, including at least 3 years in operating FP&A, business finance, or program finance.
• Experience working at an early-stage startup at Series A, B, or C.
• Experience building a finance function, financial model, or reporting system from little to no existing structure.
• Ability to operate independently in a fast-moving environment without a defined playbook.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-finance audiences.

Nice to have

• Background in aerospace, defense, hardware, or deep tech.
• Familiarity with government contracting revenue or cost structures, including milestone-based or fixed-price mechanics.
• Experience with costed bills of materials, inventory, long-lead procurement, or program cost-at-completion.
• Experience supporting or leading an early-stage company fundraise, including investor materials and financial diligence.
