AI Researcher (Chip-Engineering)

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end process of creating reinforcement learning environments for chip-engineering and EDA-related tasks.
• Build and manage relationships with external vendors, including data quality evaluation and reward design.
• Collaborate with domain experts to design data pipelines and evaluations.
• Develop and improve QA frameworks to ensure environment quality and prevent reward hacking.
• Run generalization experiments to measure improvements in model capabilities.
• Partner with AI researchers and product teams to translate capability goals into training environments and product features.

Requirements

• Experience with post-training large language models for specific domains or real-world use cases.
• Experience with reinforcement learning, reward design, or training data curation for LLMs.
• Comfortable managing technical vendor relationships and iterating on feedback.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Passion for AI applications in chip development and hardware self-improvement.
• Experience training production ML systems and designing evaluations or benchmarks for LLMs is a plus.
