Salary: $100,000–$200,000 per year, plus equity

What you will do

  • Research multimodal sensing systems and sensor-fusion methods for embodied AI and robotics.
  • Evaluate how sensor modalities affect VLA training, robot learning, policy performance, and generalization.
  • Work with RGB-D video, IMUs, motion capture, tactile sensing, audio, and wearable-system data.
  • Design experiments for synchronization, calibration, fusion, and multimodal alignment.
  • Prototype and iterate sensing systems using feedback from real-world robotics deployments and research.
  • Collaborate with hardware, machine learning, and research teams on next-generation robotics datasets and sensing systems.

Requirements

  • Master’s or PhD in robotics, computer vision, sensing systems, or a related field.
  • Published research in sensor fusion, perception systems, multimodal datasets, or embodied AI.
  • Strong technical intuition for hardware systems and robot learning.
  • Experience with RGB-D video, IMUs, motion capture, tactile sensing, or robotics systems.
  • Experience with reinforcement learning, real-world robot deployments, and the effect of data on downstream policy performance.
  • Curiosity, strong execution, and comfort operating from first principles.
