Optical Transceiver Product Engineer (Photonics)

What you will do

• Own manufacturing readiness and product execution for optical transceivers from development through high-volume manufacturing.
• Coordinate with contract manufacturers, suppliers, design, process engineering, quality, and operations teams.
• Drive product yield, quality, reliability, operational productivity, and manufacturing cost.
• Manage manufacturing BOM accuracy, product documentation, specifications, and change control under QMS requirements.
• Analyze manufacturing test results and implement improvements targeting yield, cycle time, throughput, and scrap reduction.
• Support qualification testing, design-for-manufacturing reviews, and product and process reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in high-volume optical transceiver manufacturing and engineering.
• Direct experience with 800G and 1.6T optical transceiver products.
• Strong expertise in manufacturing BOMs, yield analysis, root-cause problem solving, process implementation, data analysis, SPC, and report generation.
• Understanding of quality management systems, quality standards, reliability testing, and optics failure-analysis processes and tools.
• Good command of English for verbal and written communication, including presentations; international travel is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with wire bonding, die bonding, active optical alignment, product testing, and burn-in processes.
• Experience working in geographically diverse cross-functional teams.
