Salary: $85K–$100K annually, plus equity opportunities

What you will do
- Execute optical test plans for die-level and wafer-level metasurface photonic devices.
- Perform spectral, resonance, infrared imaging, and voltage-driven electro-optic measurements.
- Build and improve test setups, including optical alignment, calibration, and measurement automation.
- Write and maintain Python scripts for instrument control, data acquisition, and test automation.
- Analyze and visualize measurements to assess fabrication yield and device performance.
- Document measurement campaigns and communicate technical findings to the engineering team.
Requirements
- B.S. in Optics, Photonics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Hands-on optics laboratory experience through research, senior design, internship, or professional work.
- Experience with free-space optical alignment involving lasers, lenses, and detectors.
- Knowledge of spectroscopy, polarization, interference, and resonant optical structures.
- Proficiency in Python for data analysis and willingness to develop instrumentation control and test automation skills.
- Strong attention to detail, disciplined documentation habits, and clear technical communication.
Nice to have
- Experience with spectrometers, tunable lasers, lock-in amplifiers, or motorized stages.
- Exposure to electro-optic devices, liquid crystals, metasurfaces, or nanophotonics.
- Experience with PyVISA, SCPI, LabVIEW, or basic electrical measurement equipment.
- Coursework or research involving statistics and analysis of experimental datasets.
