Software Engineer I, QA

Location: Fully onsite in Denver, Colorado, or Long Beach, California; candidates must be based in or able to commute to the selected office daily.

Base salary: $70,000–$100,000 per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Execute manual and automated test cases against full-stack software.
• Document and report software defects in Jira throughout the software lifecycle.
• Participate in Agile sprint planning and stand-ups.
• Collaborate with developers and product teams to clarify requirements and reproduce issues.
• Maintain a growing repository of manual and automated Playwright test scripts.
• Contribute to QA standards and testing processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent education.
• 0–2 years of software QA or testing experience, including internships.
• Understanding of software development lifecycles, testing methodologies, and Agile processes.
• Basic understanding of coding languages, preferably JavaScript.
• Familiarity with Jira and Git, plus strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible for DoD Secret or TS/SCI clearance; ITAR eligibility requirements apply.

Nice to have

• Exposure to Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium automation tooling.
• Experience with API tooling.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
• Motivation to learn and grow in QA, with a proactive and flexible approach.
