QA Automation Engineer

What you will do

• Own the automated test suite for hirify.global’s web and desktop clients, including framework design, fixtures, test data, pull-request checks, and release validation.
• Build coverage for concurrent editing, offline recovery, local-first synchronization, and agent actions with non-deterministic outcomes.
• Set testing priorities based on customer impact and keep the suite fast, stable, and trustworthy.
• Test Cloud, self-hosted, and older customer deployments across browsers and hardware outside direct control.
• Collaborate with engineers and product teams across San Francisco and Hyderabad, and review test coverage from community pull requests.
• Triage failures and distinguish product defects from script and environment problems.

Requirements

• Experience building and maintaining an automation framework, including structure, fixtures, and test data.
• Fluency with Playwright or Cypress and TypeScript or JavaScript.
• Experience improving flaky test suites and measuring the results.
• Experience testing REST APIs, authentication, and application setup or state management.
• Experience running test suites in CI, including GitHub Actions or a comparable system, and managing commit versus nightly coverage.
• Experience with React and TypeScript clients, collaborative editors, Electron applications, or WebSocket-based synchronization is relevant to the testing scope.
