Software Architect (Hands On)

What you will do

• Lead the design and implementation of complex distributed software systems in production.
• Translate business needs into practical, scalable architectures with developers, product owners, and stakeholders.
• Define architecture patterns, coding standards, testing strategies, and operational best practices.
• Write and review code, participate in technical problem-solving, and stay involved in production systems.
• Mentor developers and tech leads while reviewing designs and implementations for quality, maintainability, and resilience.
• Drive improvements through technology evaluation, deployments, observability, performance tuning, and incident analysis.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software development, system design, and architecture.
• Hands-on backend development with Java and/or Python.
• Experience with containerized and cloud-native systems, including Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience designing and operating distributed systems with messaging or streaming platforms such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Spark.
• Knowledge of distributed and non-distributed databases such as Postgres, Cassandra, SingleStore, ClickHouse, or similar technologies.
• Strong engineering practices across CI/CD, DevOps, testing, security, agile development, production deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting; a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
