Technical Expert – End of Line Systems (Automotive Manufacturing)

Location: Warren, Michigan; full-time onsite at the Warren Tech Center. Requires up to 50% domestic and international travel.

What you will do

• Lead global teams developing and standardizing end-of-line manufacturing processes, equipment standards, and technical documentation.
• Define enterprise-wide systems for vehicle alignment, headlamp aim, active safety calibration, ADAS calibration, and autonomous vehicle calibration.
• Guide cross-functional problem solving across manufacturing equipment, plant systems, product engineering, software, validation, and operations.
• Partner with product development, program, plant, and supplier teams to create scalable, automation-ready manufacturing solutions.
• Develop factory-of-the-future strategies, manufacturing studies, data-driven tools, and future product requirements.
• Provide expert support for critical plant issues and influence product designs to improve manufacturability, calibration performance, automation, and production efficiency.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in automotive manufacturing, manufacturing engineering, tooling, vehicle calibration systems, or related technical disciplines.
• Extensive experience with vehicle alignment, headlamp aim, active safety calibration, ADAS calibration, or related end-of-line manufacturing systems.
• Experience developing manufacturing processes, equipment standards, validation strategies, and technical requirements for production environments.
• Experience leading global technical initiatives and standardization across multiple plants, organizations, or regions.
• Strong technical decision-making, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Warren, Michigan and travel globally as required.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with FMVSS 108 and industry standards for vehicle lighting, aiming, and calibration systems.
• Experience with Burke Porter, Fori, or similar vehicle alignment and calibration equipment.
• Knowledge of manufacturing execution systems, tooling systems, controls, plant IT systems, and cybersecurity requirements.
• Experience with advanced manufacturing automation, smart manufacturing, factory-of-the-future initiatives, or autonomous vehicle technologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent technical experience.
