Software Development Engineer (AI)

Location: Office in Seattle; hybrid and remote options are available

Salary: $115,119.60–$148,350.00 per year, plus performance-based bonus

What you will do

• Build and maintain production LLM agent pipelines, MCP integrations, and retrieval-augmented generation systems.
• Develop AI-powered applications with Python, FastAPI, LangChain, TypeScript, and React.
• Use Claude Code and other AI-assisted development tools for code generation, debugging, and iteration.
• Optimize applications for scalability, reliability, and security while performing root-cause analysis.
• Translate loosely defined requirements into production-ready code and contribute to user stories, estimates, and architecture improvements.
• Participate in code reviews, documentation, and broad unit and integration testing.

Requirements

• Fluency with AI-assisted development tools, specifically Claude Code, as a daily engineering practice.
• Production experience with LLM agent tools, agentic workflows, MCP integrations, or RAG systems.
• Production proficiency in Python 3.11 with FastAPI and LangChain, plus TypeScript and React; Java-only backgrounds are not a fit.
• At least 3 years of production software development experience and at least 1 year working hands-on with LLM, agentic, or AI/ML systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, communication, analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
