Process Engineer (Optical Transceivers)

hirify.global is a well-funded startup developing photonics infrastructure and high-speed optical transceiver products for AI infrastructure and high-performance computing.

What you will do

• Define, develop, prove, deploy, and continuously improve manufacturing processes for new optical transceiver products.
• Drive yield, throughput, efficiency, scrap, and quality targets for high-volume manufacturing.
• Create process documentation and review and approve production-line processes.
• Own end-to-end manufacturing changes across products, processes, and materials under change control and QMS requirements.
• Collaborate with design engineering, contract manufacturers, suppliers, and quality teams on DFM, qualification testing, and process improvements.
• Support equipment selection and develop algorithms, machine hardware, and software from supplier buy-off through manufacturing release.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of experience in high-volume optical transceiver and/or laser manufacturing.
• Hands-on expertise in optical assembly processes such as wire bonding, die bonding, active optical alignment, product testing, or burn-in.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing process development, equipment and materials selection, data analysis, statistical process control, and report generation.
• Understanding of quality management systems, quality standards, and optics failure-analysis processes and tools.
• Good command of spoken and written English is required, including in-person and virtual presentations; international travel is required.
