Senior Platform Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid, San Francisco, California

Salary: $170,000–$240,000 per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Own the cloud foundations supporting AI, software, and data products, operating and evolving the AWS environment.
• Build and maintain data pipelines and integrations that ingest, reconcile, and preserve first- and third-party data.
• Contribute to reproducible, traceable, secure, and isolated ETL workflows for multi-tenant environments.
• Develop observability and monitoring across infrastructure, applications, and data systems.
• Own build tooling and CI/CD workflows, improving build speed, test reliability, and release quality.
• Create AI-native development, bug-triage, validation, and verification tooling for agents, workflows, and customer-like scenarios.

Requirements

• 5+ years of full-time experience in backend, platform, or product infrastructure engineering.
• Strong coding ability with deep expertise in Python; Python is used for backend systems, platform tooling, and data orchestration.
• Deep experience designing and operating production environments on AWS.
• Expertise with Infrastructure as Code, especially Terraform and robust state management.
• Experience hardening cloud infrastructure and supporting security compliance initiatives, including HIPAA requirements.
• Strong understanding of developer experience, CI/CD pipelines, shared architecture, and AI-assisted software development.
