Facilities Maintenance Technician (Advanced Manufacturing)

Location: Daily onsite in Torrance, California, United States

Salary: $24.75–$50.60 per hour, plus equity.

What you will do

• Complete routine maintenance and work orders across offices, R&D spaces, common areas, and factory support areas.
• Perform patching, painting, caulking, finish repairs, hardware replacement, furniture assembly, shelving, fixture installation, signage, and other light builds.
• Assess requests, clarify scope and priority, identify tools and materials, and communicate expected completion times.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance on machines and facility equipment using approved procedures and schedules.
• Coordinate vendors and verify scope, access, safety, schedule, workmanship, and completion.
• Document maintenance, inspections, materials, vendor activity, and follow-up actions while maintaining clean and safe work areas.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on facilities, building, industrial maintenance, or closely related trade experience.
• Ability to complete practical repairs and light installations with sound judgment and consistent workmanship.
• Ability to work full-time onsite in Torrance, California.
• Ability to lift and move tools, materials, parts, and equipment up to 50 pounds.
• Availability to support overtime or weekends as needed.
• Applicants must be U.S. citizens or nationals, lawful permanent residents, refugees, asylees, or eligible to obtain required U.S. government authorizations under export regulations.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of relevant building, facilities, or industrial maintenance experience.
• Trade license, certification, apprenticeship credential, or equivalent formal training.
• Experience in office, R&D, warehouse, manufacturing, aerospace, defense, energy, or other regulated environments.
• Experience with CMMS, preventive-maintenance documentation, contractor coordination, and light carpentry.
• Ability to troubleshoot routine issues and identify when licensed or specialized support is required.
