Staff Hardware Test Engineer (IoT)

What you will do

• Lead test programs across design, verification, validation, NPI, and production phases.
• Develop and maintain C3 test code and use GitHub and Jira within the Test Engineering group.
• Release and optimize ATE hardware and software for silicon characterization and production testing.
• Source and qualify load boards, probe cards, interface components, and other ATE hardware.
• Analyze large data sets with JMP, SQL, and MATLAB and translate findings into engineering decisions.
• Investigate yield issues and product returns, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with 8 years of experience, or a master’s degree with 6 years of experience, or a PhD with at least 3 years of ATE test engineering experience.
• Strong software development and semiconductor product engineering experience, including ATE coverage, margin, and binning.
• Direct experience with wafer or die ATE testing, NI/Emerson TestStand, Semiconductor Test System (STS), and NI PIXI packaged part test architecture.
• Experience performing conducted RF measurements, including S-parameters, AM/PM, compression, noise figure, harmonics, phase noise, switching speed, bit error rate, adjacent channel power, and group delay.
• Ability to analyze complex data sets, document technical processes, and communicate findings across engineering and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

Nice to have

• Experience transferring products into high-volume testing environments with international engineering teams.
• Experience contributing to yield improvement, test-time reduction, test elimination, and cost-reduction initiatives.
