Senior Test & Validation Engineer (Cooling Hardware)

Location: Houston, USA — hybrid; approximately 10% travel required

What you will do

• Develop test plans, procedures, and acceptance criteria for air, liquid, immersion, and two-phase cooling systems.
• Set up test equipment and execute functional, performance, stress, and reliability tests.
• Troubleshoot test findings, identify performance bottlenecks, and improve test procedures and coverage.
• Analyze test results, identify deviations and trends, and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Communicate test status, risks, and issues with engineering, product management, operations, customers, vendors, and design partners.
• Support laboratory operations, including equipment setup, calibration, safety, maintenance, and test-bench management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in cooling systems and hardware testing, system integration testing, or a closely related field.
• Hands-on experience installing server hardware and using sensors, DAQ systems, test instrumentation, and test automation tools.
• Knowledge of heat transfer, thermal analysis, and immersion or liquid cooling concepts.
• Strong troubleshooting, critical-thinking, documentation, analysis, and technical communication skills.
• Ability to use PPE, basic hand tools, test equipment, and perform hands-on laboratory work safely around running equipment and fluids.
