Location: On-site in Redwood City, California, United States. U.S. ITAR eligibility is required: candidates must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, protected individuals, or eligible to obtain the required U.S. government authorizations.

Salary: $150,000–$250,000 per year, with flexibility between salary and equity-based compensation.

What you will do

  • Contribute to bring-up and integration of FPGA-based platforms, including Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoCs.
  • Design and implement FPGA modules for reliable, high-throughput data movement.
  • Develop embedded software and firmware for radar sensors, communication links, and satellite systems.
  • Build and maintain Linux-based embedded systems using PetaLinux and Yocto.
  • Create Python automation, diagnostic, and testing tools for development and validation.
  • Collaborate with digital, RF, signal processing, and systems engineers to evaluate performance, debug issues, and refine embedded architectures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5–8 years of FPGA design and development experience.
  • Experience with Xilinx FPGA design tools and workflows.
  • Experience with embedded C/C++ firmware development.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work under significant time constraints.
  • U.S. ITAR eligibility and on-site work in Redwood City are required.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with complex embedded systems, custom SoCs, Linux kernel drivers, and hardware-software interfaces.
  • Hands-on FPGA build and deployment experience, including PetaLinux or Yocto.
  • Experience with satellite systems, aerospace applications, schematic diagrams, or Python automation and testing.
