Staff Electrical Design Engineer (IoT)

What you will do

• Conduct semiconductor device characterization using parameter analyzers, probe stations, switch matrices, and GUI-controlled equipment.
• Automate characterization, debugging, data collection, and reporting through scripting and improved methodologies.
• Set up and build custom test hardware and tools, and troubleshoot device and mechanical equipment issues.
• Support RMA activities through I-V tracing, RF sensitivity, conductivity, and related tests.
• Collaborate with Industrialization and Silicon Processing Engineers on EPIC product evaluations and analysis.
• Perform RFID inlay die shear, bend, THT, and TCT testing; document bonded-die microscope images and communicate build status and emerging issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and 8+ years of relevant experience.
• 4+ years of hands-on semiconductor R&D laboratory experience with parameter analyzers such as Agilent B1500 or Tektronix SCS4200.
• Working knowledge of bipolar and MOS device physics, semiconductor fabrication flow and processing, and RF principles.
• Experience with test scripting automation using Python, Perl, C++, or similar tools, including AI assistant or productivity tools.
• Hands-on experience with Tektronix KCON or Agilent EasyExpert Device Char software and MicroManipulator or FormFactor/CascadeTech semi-automated probers.
• Ability to create detailed procedures, data reports, and documentation while managing multiple priorities in a collaborative environment.
