Intern - Manufacturing / Tooling Development Engineering (Start onboarding in January 2027)

hirify.global develops and manufactures data storage systems and infrastructure for hyperscale data centers, cloud platforms, and enterprise environments.

What you will do

• Assist engineers with the design and development of manual and automated tooling fixtures.
• Support tolerance checks, GR&R, basic DOE activities, data collection, and tooling improvement evaluations.
• Prepare and update technical documentation, including drawings, BOMs, preventive maintenance sheets, and setup sheets.
• Assist with lab prototypes, basic assembly, measurements, testing, and logistics for small builds.
• Coordinate with vendors by preparing data, following up on activities, receiving samples, and supporting service capability improvements.
• Prepare review materials and maintain eTRF/ePDM digital documentation.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, or related Engineering.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical design, manufacturing engineering fundamentals, engineering drawings, and beginner-level GD&T.
• Beginner-level CAD skills, preferably SolidWorks, for simple tooling and fixture drafts.
• Ability to collect, organize, and analyze basic engineering data using computer tools such as Excel and PowerPoint.
• Good teamwork and communication skills, with a problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn.
• No prior professional experience is required; university projects, laboratory work, or technical club experience is advantageous.
