Location: Devens, Massachusetts, United States; onsite executive role

Annual base salary: $233,645–$350,450, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

  • Define and execute the multi-year roadmap for advanced materials, printing processes, post-processing, and integrated additive manufacturing technologies.
  • Lead materials and process technologies from early development through validation, qualification, industrialization, and repeatable serial production.
  • Own technical milestones while balancing development speed, safety, regulatory compliance, cost, quality, and manufacturability.
  • Lead the multidisciplinary materials and process technology organization and build leadership depth across engineers, scientists, managers, and senior technical contributors.
  • Partner with manufacturing, hardware, software, supply chain, quality, application engineering, and commercial teams to align technology development with production and customer requirements.
  • Define requirements for new metal additive manufacturing systems and equipment, from powder handling through part finishing, while establishing scalable engineering and quality frameworks.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience developing and deploying innovative manufacturing processes into production, including significant experience with metal laser powder bed fusion or other advanced additive manufacturing technologies.
  • 3+ years of experience leading multidisciplinary engineering, materials, or process development teams in advanced manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated success developing, qualifying, and deploying materials and manufacturing processes for certified, regulated, or demanding serial-production applications.
  • Deep expertise in materials science and process engineering, with systems-level understanding of mechanical systems, controls, thermal management, fluid dynamics, and manufacturing engineering.
  • Experience scaling technical teams, leading complex programs, and establishing technical reviews, validation frameworks, documentation standards, and quality systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline; an advanced degree is preferred.
