Staff CAD Engineer (IoT)

What you will do

• Support virtual desktop environments, load-sharing server farms, and job submission systems.
• Configure EDA tools and license management for silicon design teams.
• Support circuit and layout designers using DRC, LVS, and extraction tools.
• Support analog design flows from project setup through tape-out.
• Debug and automate design tasks while serving as a liaison between designers and EDA tool vendors.
• Support Linux operating systems and IT networking issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 8 years of experience, a master’s degree with 6 years of experience, or a PhD with at least 3 years of CAD support experience.
• Experience with EDA IC design tools for schematic capture, layout editing, and simulation.
• Experience with physical verification tools, including DRC, LVS, and extraction.
• Experience with PDK elements, rule decks, model files, and custom parameterized cell development.
• Proficiency in one or more of Cadence Skill, Perl, Python, Unix shell, C, C++, or web development.
• Experience supporting Linux, CMOS silicon processes, technical documentation, and cross-functional engineering communication.
