Senior Consultant (AI)

Location: McLean, Virginia, United States; onsite at the headquarters 4–5 days per week. Willingness to travel up to 20% annually for customer engagements is required.

Salary: $100,000–$200,000 USD base salary per year, plus a potential government clearance differential and discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Define, design, develop, and implement custom software and AI solutions on the hirify.global platform.
• Work with commercial clients throughout the full software project lifecycle.
• Analyze business processes and technical needs in an agile delivery environment.
• Launch relational data models in production and develop API integrations with multiple systems.
• Identify AI use cases and implement RAG, agentic workflows, prompt engineering, and generative AI tools.
• Collaborate with client technical teams and business users, mentor others, and help clients become self-sufficient.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required for candidates considered for public-sector roles.
• 3+ years of hands-on software development or technical consulting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, information systems, mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience leading small teams through post-sale software implementation and gathering functional and technical requirements.
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming, relational databases, data modeling, SQL, software testing, and API integrations using REST, SOAP, JDBC, or web services.
• Ability to work with agile methodologies and willingness to travel up to 20% annually.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS, Google Cloud, analytics, machine learning, application integration, developer tools, governance, and elastic containers.
• Knowledge of test-driven development, automated test suites, and continuous integration.
• Top Secret clearance or eligibility for a government clearance differential.
