Information Security Engineer (Microsoft Azure)

Location: Remote eligible within the United States, with preference for candidates near company locations and willingness to work in the office at least once per week. Locations include Los Angeles, Denver, Framingham, Merrimack, Kalamazoo, New Kensington, Cleveland, Rock Hill, Rochester, Englewood, Greater Boston, and the United States.

Salary: $112,000–$168,000 per year, plus potential annual incentive and/or long-term incentives.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and manage security controls using Microsoft 365 E5 Security and Compliance and Azure.
• Assess systems and networks for compliance with organizational policies, industry methodologies, and regulations.
• Conduct security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests, then coordinate remediation.
• Configure and tune Microsoft Sentinel monitoring and alerts to improve threat detection and response.
• Develop and execute business impact assessments, incident response plans, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Lead root cause analysis, prepare security documentation and reports, and promote an organization-wide security culture.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of security experience, including security controls, vulnerability management, and investigations.
• Deep experience with Microsoft 365 Security and Compliance tools and Azure Sentinel.
• Ability to prioritize multiple workloads and communicate effectively with security, IT, engineering, and business partners.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security or a related field, equivalent experience, or relevant certifications.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., or another protected individual under ITAR-related U.S. Government export regulations.
• Knowledge of security frameworks and standards, including NIST SP 800-171 and other 800-series publications.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Purview, including MIP, DLP, and DSPM.
• Experience administering and securing complex multi-forest Active Directory and AWS, Azure, and GCP environments.
• Security and compliance experience in manufacturing or defense.
• Security certifications such as Security+, Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect Expert, CMMC Certified Professional, or CISSP.
