Associate Specialist, Patient Access

What you will do

• Perform admitting and pre-registration duties for hospital patients.
• Assign accurate medical record numbers, collect demographic and insurance information, and process physician orders.
• Verify insurance eligibility, select insurance plan codes, and enter benefit data to support point-of-service collections and clean claims.
• Screen Medicare medical necessity using ABN software and distribute required forms and patient education documents.
• Explain consent forms, obtain signatures and witnesses, and provide compassionate customer service by phone and in person.
• Audit accounts, correct records, and prepare statistical data for Patient Access leadership.

Requirements

• Ability to work onsite at the medical center in Glandorf, Ohio.
• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of customer service experience.
• Inquisitive mindset and openness to innovation, including AI-enabled process improvements.
• CRCR certification required within 9 months of hire; certification is company-paid.
