Nuclear Engineer - Radiological (PWR-20)

What you will do

• Determine core and coolant radiological source terms.
• Determine neutron and gamma radiation fields.
• Calculate doses from theoretical accidents and assess impacts on surrounding areas.
• Support interfaces with customers and regulatory authorities to obtain approval for the reactor core design, codes, and methods.
• Prepare and review safety analyses, calculation files, and related records.

Requirements

• BS, MS, or PhD in Nuclear Engineering or a related field, such as Physics with a nuclear concentration.
• 5+ years of applicable experience in PWR or BWR radiological evaluations.
• Proficiency with MCNP, SCALE, RADTRAD, or other nuclear industry analysis codes.
• Scripting and coding experience with Python or Excel VBA.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Positive and effective team interaction skills.
