Systems Engineer (CAD)

Location: Hybrid, ideally onsite three days per week in Denver, Colorado; also open to Framingham, Massachusetts, New Kensington, Pennsylvania, or Rock Hill, South Carolina. Candidates must be U.S. citizens or nationals, U.S. permanent residents, or lawfully admitted refugees or asylees due to export control requirements.

Salary: $91,358–$135,169 per year, plus potential annual incentive and/or long-term incentives.

What you will do

• Design, configure, optimize, and support enterprise CAD, PDM, and PLM systems across on-premise and cloud environments.
• Administer servers, storage, security, endpoint management, virtualization, applications, licensing, and engineering workstations.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, perform updates and patching, and deliver support within defined SLAs.
• Collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, IT, and manufacturing teams to ensure secure, interoperable, and reliable systems.
• Lead CAD, PDM, and PLM migrations, integrations, automation, disaster recovery, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
• Maintain technical documentation, work plans, status reports, runbooks, and knowledge-base content while mentoring team members.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience designing, implementing, managing, and supporting enterprise CAD, PDM, and PLM environments.
• Hands-on expertise with SolidWorks, Siemens NX, CATIA, SolidWorks PDM, Siemens Teamcenter, and MATLAB.
• Experience with licensing, performance tuning, customization, workflows, lifecycle management, integrations, and multi-site replication.
• Experience with Windows CAD workstations, VMware, Hyper-V, VDI, Microsoft Intune, automated deployment, networking, backup and restore, and role-based access control.
• Experience supporting hybrid on-premise and cloud engineering environments, migrations, business continuity, and disaster recovery.
• Must meet U.S. export control eligibility requirements. Strong communication, documentation, planning, estimation, and coordination skills are required.

Nice to have

• OT networking experience for CAD-to-shop-floor connections.
• ITIL, FedRAMP, ITAR, CUI, or CMMC knowledge.
• Advanced modeling or simulation experience with Ansys, SolidWorks, NX, CATIA, or MATLAB.
• Ability to travel to hirify.global sites as needed.
