Manufacturing Technician III (Mechanic - Visual Inspection)

Location: Blue Ash, Ohio, United States; onsite manufacturing role. The position initially follows a Monday–Friday, 8-hour dayshift schedule and later transitions to a 6:00 AM–6:30 PM dayshift on a 2-2-3 rotation. Some overtime may be required.

Salary: $24.00–$38.00 per hour, depending on location, experience, qualifications, skills, and knowledge.

What you will do

• Operate, monitor, troubleshoot, set up, change over, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on visual inspection equipment.
• Provide first-line technical support for equipment startup, recipe selection and setup, sensor challenges, and production issues.
• Perform visual inspection, batch execution, material handling, rework, cleaning, housekeeping, line clearance, and material quality checks.
• Complete batch records, GMP documentation, CMMS entries, equipment qualification protocols, and process validation activities.
• Support Lean, 5S, OEE, TPM, problem-solving, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Train and evaluate technicians on assigned equipment and processes while collaborating with technical and production teams.

Requirements

• Prior experience in a regulated production environment with responsibility for equipment maintenance and performance.
• Ability to understand, read, write, communicate, and follow instructions in English.
• Ability to lift and handle equipment change parts, tooling, and maintenance materials.
• Strong mechanical and electronic knowledge, technical-document interpretation skills, and written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to work safely under SOPs, cGMPs, and procedures covering PPE, LOTO, chemical handling, ergonomics, and material handling.
• Work authorization sponsorship, including visa support, is not available.

Nice to have

• High school, vocational school, or equivalent education.
• At least three years of regulated production experience focused on equipment maintenance and performance.
• Experience with automated equipment, mechanics, hydraulics, and electronic systems.
• Knowledge of CMMS platforms such as SAP.
• Experience with OEE, TPM, Lean, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
