Sr. Software Engineer (C/C++)

Location: On-site in the Pune office, India

What you will do

• Maintain, extend, and improve the NFS implementation.
• Design and develop C/C++ system software under tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Define technical designs and participate in technical reviews throughout development.
• Deliver applications through design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Architect and troubleshoot file system and related storage system components.
• Support product deployment, resolve production defects, conduct research-based technical work, and mentor junior developers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in system software development and complex problem resolution.
• Expert knowledge of C/C++ and strong Linux development and deployment skills, including file system development.
• Strong understanding of operating system principles and kernel architecture.
• Experience with GCC, GDB, G++, Git, and open-source development toolchains.
• Experience designing and developing parallel programs.
• Good verbal and written English communication skills; on-site work in the Pune office is required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of user-space I/O frameworks such as FUSE and SPDK.
• Understanding of RDMA, libfabric, zero-copy, verbs, TCP/IP, and complex network programming.
• Knowledge of performance engineering.
• Experience with Scrum Agile.
