What you will do
- Lead non-functional quality strategy covering performance, scalability, resilience, and availability.
- Design and execute performance, load, stress, and endurance testing for critical enterprise applications.
- Use monitoring and observability tools to identify bottlenecks and analyze application behavior.
- Partner with engineering and architecture teams to embed quality practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Optimize Java applications, databases, middleware, application servers, and containerized environments.
- Establish CI-driven quality gates, troubleshoot production issues, and lead root-cause analysis while mentoring engineers.
Requirements
- Extensive hands-on experience in application development and quality engineering.
- Strong expertise in Java, JEE, Maven, Hibernate, EJB 3.1, MQ, SQL, REST, XML, XSD, and JSON.
- Advanced experience designing performance, high-availability, and resilience tests.
- Experience with Jenkins, automated testing frameworks, and continuous integration.
- Knowledge of WebSphere, WebLogic, JBoss, Open Liberty, Oracle or PostgreSQL, Linux, and container platforms.
- Proven ability to monitor application performance and perform database performance tuning.
Nice to have
- Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of Kafka or event-driven architectures.
- Payments-domain experience with SEPA or SWIFT messaging.
- Advanced REST API design and optimization experience.
- Deep PostgreSQL performance and scalability expertise.
