Location: Wallops Island, Virginia, United States. This U.S. office role is subject to ITAR requirements; candidates must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees, asylees, or eligible to obtain the required authorizations.
Salary: $87,000–$110,000 USD base salary per year.

What you will do
- Operate vehicle systems consoles in Mission Control during test campaigns, rehearsals, and launch operations.
- Develop, review, and execute test plans, operational procedures, checklists, and Human-Machine Interfaces for vehicle monitoring and control.
- Develop, integrate, configure, and test mechanical, propulsion, fluid, and launch vehicle systems for Electron and Neutron.
- Lead testing projects, including static testing and integrated stage hot fire testing.
- Perform real-time troubleshooting and post-test or post-launch data analysis to resolve issues and improve operations.
- Participate in readiness reviews, simulations, and mission rehearsals while mentoring and training other operators.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Aerospace, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering; 4+ years of relevant experience may substitute for the degree.
- At least 2 years of experience in engineering design, testing, or operations focused on mechanical, propulsion, or fluid systems.
- Must satisfy applicable U.S. ITAR eligibility and authorization requirements for work in a U.S. office.
- Ability to work in Mission Control and support real-time hazardous operations, including prolonged sitting, standing, walking, and computer work.
- Ability to work around moderate levels of noise, dust, and fumes in production areas.
Nice to have
- Experience with launch vehicles or spacecraft integration, testing, launch, or mission operations.
- Experience with propulsion testing, rocket engines, cryogenic, pressurized, hazardous, or high-pressure gas systems.
- Experience developing operational procedures, test plans, HMIs, or conducting real-time data analysis and troubleshooting.
- Mission Control, aviation, aircrew, or flight-test experience.
- Experience with spacecraft or crew-rated vehicle systems.
