Salary: $24–$28 per hour

What you will do

  • Monitor and control robotic systems during live testing and deployment.
  • Intervene in real time when unsafe behavior or unexpected events occur, including activating emergency stops and performing recovery procedures.
  • Conduct pre-task safety inspections and maintain secure testing environments.
  • Record safety events and robot performance data to support continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with engineering and research teams to evaluate and refine robot behavior in real-world environments.

Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong situational awareness and attention to detail.
  • Ability to stand and move for extended periods.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Good communication skills and a collaborative attitude.

Nice to have

  • Experience with robotic systems, automation, or laboratory safety operations.
  • Familiarity with industrial or collaborative robot safety standards, including ISO 10218, RIA, or ISO/TS 15066.
  • Experience with interlocks, emergency stops, or safety sensors.
  • Basic familiarity with command-line tools, Bash, or Linux.
