DevOps Engineering Manager (DevOps/DevSecOps/Site Reliability/Deployment Engineering) (D.C. Area)

Location: Washington D.C., United States. A U.S. Department of Defense or Intelligence TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary: $200,000–$280,000 USD per year.

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and develop DevOps, DevSecOps, and Forward Deployed Engineering teams.
• Oversee customer deployments, upgrades, sustainment, operational support, and incident response across cloud, on-premises, classified, air-gapped, and edge environments.
• Establish deployment standards, operational processes, reference architectures, and technical readiness reviews.
• Lead infrastructure engineering, operational tooling, CI/CD systems, deployment automation, and platform support capabilities.
• Serve as a senior escalation point for complex deployment and reliability issues.
• Work directly with customer technical stakeholders and coordinate dependencies across engineering, security, product, mission engineering, and customer success.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in DevOps, site reliability engineering, deployment engineering, or related disciplines.
• 2+ years of experience leading technical teams while remaining hands-on.
• Experience supporting U.S. Government defense or intelligence environments.
• Familiarity with RMF, STIGs, accreditation processes, and security hardening requirements.
• Strong experience with Kubernetes production environments, CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, Linux systems administration, networking, incidents, and production outages.
• U.S. Department of Defense or Intelligence TS/SCI clearance required. Strong communication skills and experience working with customer technical stakeholders are also required.
