Engineering Manager (DevEx)

Location: Waltham, MA (hybrid)

US annual base salary range for this full-time position: $173,000–$234,000 USD, plus potential annual performance-based incentives.

What you will do

• Build and lead a new Developer Experience team of Backend and DevOps engineers.
• Execute an Agentic SDLC strategy using AI to automate and improve the design-to-deployment lifecycle.
• Deliver intuitive self-service tools based on a Platform-as-a-Product approach.
• Partner with R&D stakeholders to align platform capabilities with developer needs and business objectives.
• Mentor engineers and foster continuous learning, technical excellence, and professional growth.
• Collaborate with the parallel DevEx team in Israel to align strategies across the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Backend team lead.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Backend Developer in a fast-paced, cloud-oriented organization.
• Experience initiating, designing, implementing, and leading meaningful projects.
• Experience improving development processes and a strong interest in Developer Experience.
• Technical understanding of CI/CD, Kubernetes, Infrastructure-as-Code, build tools such as Maven, Gradle, and Nx, testing frameworks, and observability.
