Cloud Operations Engineer (AWS)

Location: Port City, Western Province, Sri Lanka. Hybrid work options are available, with Saturday deployments and rotational on-call support as required.

hirify.global is a software company whose subsidiary IGT1 provides offshore technology and talent solutions, with this role embedded in the team of Kyriba, a cloud-based finance solutions provider.

What you will do

• Ensure the availability, stability, and performance of SaaS platform infrastructure.
• Operate Linux and Windows workloads on AWS across APAC, EMEA, and AMER environments.
• Investigate system and application incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and automate remediation for global rollout.
• Deploy infrastructure and services using Infrastructure as Code, Ansible, and deployment automation.
• Operate production Kubernetes clusters, including deployments, observability, and upgrades.
• Patch, harden, tune, and recover systems while maintaining documentation and coordinating with impacted teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience supporting Linux or Windows server operating systems, preferably in a SaaS organization.
• Production Linux administration and Kubernetes operations experience.
• Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services and configuration management, preferably Ansible.
• Basic Microsoft Windows Server administration skills, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Effective written and verbal English communication is required.

Nice to have

• Python, shell, or PowerShell scripting for automation.
• Terraform, Docker, AWS-native services, and CI/CD integration experience.
• Experience troubleshooting large and complex environments.
• Oracle RDBMS management, ITIL, or incident management experience.
