Senior Accounting Specialist (Aerospace)

Location: On-site in San Carlos, California or Seattle, Washington, United States. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, protected individuals, or eligible to obtain required ITAR authorizations.

Salary: $83,000–$91,000 annually

What you will do

• Process high volumes of vendor invoices and perform two-way and three-way matching with purchase orders and receiving documents.
• Review invoice coding, approvals, documentation, and resolve pricing, quantity, and unmatched transaction discrepancies.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal purchasing, receiving, engineering, and business teams on payment and purchase-order issues.
• Manage AP aging, weekly ACH, wire, and check payment runs, employee reimbursements, and corporate card transactions.
• Maintain vendor master data and organized AP records for audit support.
• Support month-end and year-end close, tax compliance, reconciliations, internal controls, and AP process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience in a high-volume environment with significant accounts payable exposure.
• Experience using Ramp for accounts payable, invoice processing, expense management, corporate cards, and vendor payments.
• Experience with purchase orders, procure-to-pay workflows, three-way matching, inventory accounting, and high-volume purchasing.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis.
• Experience with ERP systems such as QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or similar, along with strong communication and attention to detail.

Nice to have

• Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, hardware, or other inventory-intensive industries.
• Experience supporting engineering or production organizations.
• Knowledge of inventory costing, manufacturing operations, inventory controls, SOX controls, and audit support.
• Experience with ERP implementations or finance systems optimization.
• Experience building scalable AP processes in a high-growth startup.
