What you will do
- Define program structures, scopes, milestones, schedules, and dependencies for satellite missions and government contracts.
- Coordinate engineering teams and keep hardware and software deliverables on schedule.
- Identify resource requirements and negotiate staffing with functional managers.
- Surface program risks, propose mitigations, and translate engineering roadmaps into execution plans and release items.
- Support planning for new efforts through staffing plans, cost estimates, schedule assumptions, and resource utilization analysis.
- Partner with engineering leadership and executives on prioritization, staffing, and bid or no-bid decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience supporting complex, high-stakes technical programs and delivering integrated hardware and software systems.
- Ability to learn highly technical concepts rapidly and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong accountability and interpersonal skills, including the ability to connect deep technical details with executive-level strategy.
- Hands-on experience with electronic or mechanical hardware design, development, integration, or testing.
- Must satisfy U.S. ITAR requirements as a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or person eligible to obtain the required U.S. government authorizations.
Nice to have
- Experience with Python, SQL, or data visualization tools for program metrics and performance tracking.
- Experience in a high-growth, ambiguous, or clean-sheet hardware environment.
- Familiarity with aerospace or safety-critical hardware development.
