Base pay: $124,000–$155,000 for Mechanical Design Engineer II; $140,000–$176,000 for Senior Mechanical Design Engineer.

hirify.global is developing the ES-30, a regional hybrid-electric aircraft designed for 30 passengers, with all-electric and extended hybrid range capabilities.

What you will do

• Design and develop aircraft structural components as a Responsible Engineer.
• Create and release 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, and engineering documentation using NX, Teamcenter, or equivalent tools.
• Design fuselage, wing, and empennage structures using composite and metallic materials.
• Optimize structural performance for cost and mass, and perform hand calculations and FEA with mentorship.
• Define structural requirements, specifications, and test plans; own testing activities, data review, and documentation.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and test teams to resolve design and build issues.

Requirements

• Mechanical Design Engineer II: 2+ years of professional experience in structural design, aerospace engineering, or a related field.
• Senior Mechanical Design Engineer: 5+ years of experience in composite structural design.
• Experience with Siemens NX, CATIA, Creo, SolidWorks, or equivalent CAD tools.
• Understanding of engineering fundamentals, structural mechanics, and first principles.
• Familiarity with GD&T and basic manufacturing concepts.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills, collaborative working style, and a bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Experience in a startup environment.
• Hands-on exposure to composite or aluminum part fabrication.
• Knowledge of FAA/EASA certification concepts.
• Experience with FEA, structural testing, instrumentation, or data analysis.
• Master’s degree or progress toward one in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
