What you will do
- Lead mechanical engineering projects for metal enclosures and structural components from concept through mass production.
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, supply chain, suppliers, and factories to optimize cost, durability, quality, and manufacturability.
- Define mechanical specifications, drawings, documentation, and manufacturing requirements for enclosure components.
- Engage with customers and support business development through technical meetings, proposals, and product demonstrations.
- Conduct DFM, DFA, CAD, and tolerance reviews to improve production efficiency and reduce costs.
- Support NPI and factory ramp-up, troubleshooting mechanical and assembly issues while optimizing forming, machining, die-casting, and surface treatment processes.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, product assembly, or manufacturing, particularly with metal enclosures, casings, or structural components.
- Strong knowledge of metal fabrication, CNC machining, die-casting, and surface treatments such as anodizing and powder coating.
- Experience with DFM, DFA, CAD, and tolerance analysis for high-volume consumer product assembly.
- Proficiency with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, or similar, along with GD&T principles.
