Senior Civil Engineer (Battery Manufacturing)

Location: McCarran, Nevada, United States; travel up to 10% between Nevada plant sites

What you will do

• Manage civil engineering projects through planning, design, bidding, and construction for manufacturing, recycling, sitewide infrastructure, and BESS deployments.
• Develop construction documents, drawings, specifications, narratives, and engineering calculations.
• Coordinate civil designs with structural, mechanical, electrical, fire protection, and instrumentation and controls disciplines.
• Manage external civil engineering consultants, including scope, deliverables, schedules, budgets, and design completion.
• Perform constructability reviews, support permitting and agency coordination, and resolve civil RFIs and field changes.
• Ensure compliance with engineering processes, applicable codes, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline; an advanced degree is preferred.
• Registered Professional Engineer with Nevada licensure required or obtainable through comity within two months of hire.
• At least five years of hands-on experience designing and building high-tech or industrial infrastructure, operational facilities, or BESS deployments.
• Experience with stormwater management, SWPPPs, heavy civil, wastewater, manufacturing construction, roadways, grading, pavements, utilities, erosion and sediment control, and traffic plans.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and hydrology or stormwater management software.
• Working knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, and NFPA, with strong communication and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
