Senior Manager, System Integration & Commissioning (Quantum Computing)

Location: Bothell, Washington, United States. Travel: up to 20% domestic and international. U.S. Person status or applicable export-control authorization may be required for access to technology and government-contract work.

Salary: $174,520–$228,492 approximate base salary per year, plus bonus and equity.

What you will do

• Lead multidisciplinary teams of physicists and engineers delivering quantum computer systems to internal and external customers.
• Drive design changes and operational improvements across the hardware and software lifecycle, with emphasis on Design for Manufacturing and Design for Test.
• Improve installation, integration, and commissioning processes through design optimization and automation.
• Manage multiple projects, costs, schedules, priorities, and delivery metrics.
• Collaborate with customers, engineering, physics, operations, and organizational leadership.
• Lead root-cause investigations and develop engineering talent, including managers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, physics, or a related field.
• 8+ years of hands-on technical leadership and people-management experience.
• Experience managing and mentoring engineers, physicists, or scientists at different career levels.
• Experience taking complex hardware and software products through the full design lifecycle and delivering them to customers.
• Experience planning deliveries by cost, schedule, and labor resources, and driving corrective actions for production design issues.
• Ability to meet U.S. export-control and government-contract eligibility requirements, including U.S. Person status or applicable authorization.

Nice to have

• 15+ years of technical leadership and people-management experience.
• Complex system integration experience, especially validation and verification.
• Experience with free-space optics, laser systems, electronics and software integration, or quantum computing.
• Experience with modern scripting languages such as Python or Go.
