Software Manager (Quantum Computing)

What you will do

• Own and project manage the calibration software development roadmap, including engineering milestones and progress reporting.
• Recruit, lead, mentor, and grow a multidisciplinary team of senior software engineers and quantum device specialists.
• Establish production-grade software engineering practices, testing frameworks, and contribution models.
• Drive the long-term software architecture, package structure, and clean hardware abstraction layers.
• Coordinate technical collaboration, integration, and data hand-offs with third parties.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software leadership experience.
• Experience architecting, delivering, and maintaining production-grade software, ideally for physical hardware, instrumentation, or complex scientific systems.
• Proven engineering management experience recruiting, mentoring, and retaining senior software and domain-specialist engineers.
• Deep expertise in the Python ecosystem, modern software architecture, modular package structures, and third-party interfacing.
• Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills with scientific domain experts.

Nice to have

• Experience with superconducting quantum computing hardware or a closely related field.
